- Experienced Technician: $75,000-$95,000 annually
- Master Technician: salary negotiable

We're looking for an experienced HVAC & Refrigeration Technician to join our team and support our restaurants throughout the Charlotte area. This is an opportunity to become the in-house expert responsible for keeping our kitchens, bars, dining rooms, and facilities operating at their best.
We operate multiple unique concepts across Charlotte, including: Haberdish, Ever Andalo, Growlers Pourhouse, Olivelli Deli, Supperland, and Leluia Hall, with more concepts on the horizon.
Position Summary
The HVAC & Refrigeration Technician is responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and preventative care of commercial HVAC and refrigeration equipment across all Tonidandel-Brown Restaurant Group locations.
This role requires someone who enjoys problem-solving, takes pride in preventative maintenance, and understands the importance of minimizing downtime in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on commercial HVAC and refrigeration equipment.
- Inspect, clean, adjust, and service equipment according to maintenance schedules.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration system issues.
- Repair commercial refrigeration equipment, including walk-in coolers, walk-in freezers, reach-in refrigerators and freezers, and beverage refrigeration.
- Repair and maintain commercial HVAC equipment, including rooftop units, split systems, exhaust systems, make-up air units, and ventilation equipment.
- Troubleshoot electrical controls, thermostats, motors, compressors, evaporators, condensers, and associated components.
- Respond to maintenance requests and emergency service calls in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate service records and preventative maintenance documentation.
- Recommend equipment repairs or replacement when necessary, assisting with sourcing parts when needed.
- Coordinate with restaurant management to schedule repairs with minimal disruption to operations.
- Maintain inventory of commonly used parts, tools, and supplies.
- Ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with applicable codes and regulations.
- Assist with equipment installations, replacements, and restaurant projects as needed.
- Assist with miscellaneous repair and maintenance jobs as needed, alongside our in-house repair and maintenance team.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of commercial HVAC and refrigeration experience preferred.
- EPA Section 608 Certification required.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
- Experience working with commercial refrigeration systems and restaurant equipment.
- Ability to read wiring diagrams and technical manuals.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize work independently across multiple locations.
- Able to lift 50+ pounds and work on ladders, rooftops, and in mechanical spaces as needed.
- Willingness to work evenings, weekends, or after-hours emergencies when necessary.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master HVAC License or other relevant licenses and certifications.
- Experience with preventative maintenance programs and scheduling.
- Experience maintaining accurate maintenance logs and service records.
