Outside Sales Representative – Sign Industry Experience Required

Full-Time | Base Salary + Commission | Compensation Based on Experience
Signarama St. Croix is looking for an experienced Outside Sales Representative with a background in the sign and graphics industry to join our growing team in New Richmond.
This is not an entry-level sales position. We are specifically looking for someone who understands signage, can confidently guide customers through their options, and can manage opportunities from the initial conversation through handoff to production and installation.
The ideal candidate has previous experience selling or working with products such as channel letters, dimensional signage, monument and pylon signs, wall signs, vinyl graphics, window graphics, vehicle graphics, banners, ADA signage, interior signage and other custom sign solutions.
What You'll Do
You will be responsible for developing new business while also assisting customers who contact or visit our St. Croix location.
Responsibilities include:
- Develop and maintain relationships with local businesses, property managers, contractors, developers and other commercial customers
- Prospect for new business throughout the St. Croix Valley and surrounding markets
- Meet with customers to understand their signage and visual communication needs
- Recommend appropriate sign products, materials and applications
- Conduct site visits and gather information needed for estimating and project planning
- Prepare and present quotes and proposals
- Follow up consistently on open opportunities and leads
- Manage customer relationships throughout the sales process
- Work closely with design, production, permitting and installation teams
- Review project details for accuracy before jobs move into production
- Identify opportunities for additional signage, graphics and branding solutions
- Maintain organized customer and opportunity records
- Help create a strong, knowledgeable customer experience within our St. Croix office
Sign Industry Experience Is Required
We are looking for someone who already understands the sign industry and can confidently discuss signage with customers.
Qualified candidates should have experience with several of the following:
- Exterior and interior commercial signage
- Channel letters and illuminated signs
- Monument and freestanding signs
- Dimensional letters and logos
- Vinyl and window graphics
- Vehicle graphics and wraps
- Sign substrates, materials and fabrication methods
- Basic sign measurements and site surveys
- Reading elevations, drawings or sign specifications
- Permitting and sign-code considerations
- Estimating or quoting custom signage
You do not need to know every aspect of production or installation, but you should have enough industry knowledge to independently assist customers, identify the right solution and communicate effectively with our production and operations teams.

- In possession of a valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Compensation
This position offers a competitive base salary plus commission, with total compensation based on sign industry experience, sales background and demonstrated ability.
