Summary/Objective:
Interacts closely with the internal departments (Shipping, Purchasing, Sales, Quality, Production and Service) to oversee the daily operations and perform financial functions, including accounts payable/receivable, expenses claims, bank reconciliations, capital expenditures, office admins and ad hoc projects as needed.
Responsibilities:
· Perform daily operations of the accounting department including journal entries, bank reconciliations, cash receipts, account payables, receivables, general ledger, capital assets.
· Establish and maintain files and records to document transactions for compliance and audit purposes.
· Manage month-end and year-end closing.
· Follow accounting policies and procedures aligned with company targets.
· Preparing tax returns, payments, necessary paperwork, and reports.
· Work closely with corporate office in Germany on intercompany transactions.
· Complete various tasks/projects assigned by the Chief Financial Officer and/or the Management team.
Requirements:
· Solid knowledge of bookkeeping, accounting principles, laws, and regulations
· High attention to detail and accuracy.
· Experience with MS Office (specifically Excel, familiar with basic formulas, Lookups, Pivot Table)
· Ability to prioritize work.
· Manufacturing background a plus.
· SAP experience a plus.
· Associate degree in accounting / finance or higher
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time on-site position, 40 hours per week performed during office hours.
