Duties
- Provide professional barbering services including haircuts, straight razor shaves, beard trims, and grooming consultations with precision and care
- Perform hair extensions, eyelash extensions, and nail care treatments to enhance client satisfaction
- Utilize salon software such as MINDBODY to schedule appointments, manage client records, and process payments efficiently
- Offer expert advice on hair color theory, styling techniques, and retail product recommendations to boost sales and client loyalty
- Maintain impeccable sanitation standards by thoroughly cleaning tools and workstations in accordance with health regulations
- Assist at the front desk by greeting clients, scheduling appointments, and managing walk-ins to ensure smooth daily operations
- Mentor new team members on salon procedures, customer service excellence, and technical skills like hair threading and makeup application
Experience
- Valid cosmetology or barbering license with proven experience in a professional salon or barbershop environment
- Demonstrated expertise in hair styling, barbering techniques including straight razor shaves, and hair extensions application
- Familiarity with salon management software such as MINDBODY or similar platforms for scheduling and retail transactions
- Strong knowledge of color theory principles to advise clients on suitable shades and treatments
- Experience in retail sales with upselling skills to recommend products like hair care items, nail care products, or cosmetics
- Excellent communication skills to connect with diverse clientele and provide personalized consultations
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of sanitation and professionalism
