Medical Billing Specialist needed for an Internal Medicine practice in City of Industry on a long-term basis.
- Will review past due accounts and determine next steps to obtain payment for services rendered
- Verify insurance and follow-up in denied claims
- Enter applicable charges for all medical claims
- Contact patients as needed to review Eligibility of Benefits (EOB) and obtain any necessary information
- Resolve discrepancies in accounting records
Job Requirements
- 2+ years of experience with medical billing (preferably in an Internal Medicine clinical setting but not required )
- Billing software experience required
- Experience with Elation preferred, some knowledge of Office Ally/ Practice Mate
- High school diploma and medical billing diploma required
- Billing and/or coding highly preferred
- Requires strong attention to detail, organizational skills and computer literacy
- Must have experience with billing software and full cycle billing
- Commitment to position and company on a long-term basis
- Ability to be entrusted with confidential information
- Bilingual Mandarin speaker preferred but not required
