Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented FOH (Front of House) Shift Lead to join our dynamic hospitality team. As a pivotal leader during your shift, you will oversee daily front-of-house operations, ensure exceptional customer service, and support staff to deliver a memorable dining experience. Your role will involve supervising team members, managing food and beverage service, and maintaining a smooth workflow to uphold our high standards of hospitality. Responsibilities
- Lead and motivate front-of-house staff during your shift, ensuring efficient service delivery and positive guest interactions assisting servers when necessary to ensure great customer experiences
- Oversee food preparation and presentation to maintain quality standards and uphold food safety regulations
- Manage POS (Point of Sale) systems Clover, for order processing, payments, and reporting
- Supervise food handling, inventory control, and food production processes to minimize waste and optimize stock levels
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling procedures and balancing registers at shift end
- Train new team members on service protocols, POS operation, food safety practices, and customer service expectations
- Support management in supervising restaurant operations, including scheduling, shift management, and resolving guest concerns
Requirements
- Proven experience in quick service or casual dine in environments with a strong background in food preparation and customer service
- Demonstrated leadership skills with previous supervising or team management experience in hospitality or food service management
- Familiarity with POS system Clover ability to troubleshoot technical issues quickly
- Knowledge of food safety standards, food handling procedures, and kitchen management practices
- Excellent communication skills for managerial communication, staff training, and guest interactions
- Basic math skills for cash handling, inventory control, and profit & loss analysis
- Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently in a fast-paced casual dining or fine dining setting
- Experience with staff interviewing, training & development, budgeting, and managing hospitality teams is highly desirable
