Under the general direction and supervision of the Division Dean, Associate Dean, and the Program Chair, the Precision Machining & Automation Technology Instructor plays a key role in shaping the next generation of skilled machinists and manufacturing professionals. This position provides instruction at both the Lincoln Campus (TCA – The Career Academy) and the Milford Campus, delivering hands-on learning in classroom, lab, and online environments.
In this role, instruction is provided in manual machining processes using mills, lathes, grinders, drill presses, saws, and other related equipment. The position also incorporates CAD design, CNC operations, machine and component assembly, and material selection into instruction, while reinforcing critical safety practices, hazard communication, and Right-to-Know standards.
In addition to instructional responsibilities, the role supports the ongoing development and maintenance of the program by assisting with curriculum development and updates, maintaining lab spaces and equipment, and implementing instructional strategies for both high school and college-level students. The position includes advising and mentoring students, monitoring their progress, and collaborating with the Precision Machining & Automation Program Team, SCC campus teams, and the TCA team to support student success. This is a full-time regular position for the upcoming 2026-2027 Academic Year.
