Our store manager oversees the day-to-day operations of the store and ensures that every aspect of the store is running smoothly. The day-to-day operation includes managing baristas, ensuring quality drinks and establishing customer relationships.
BoBaPoP - Kentlands is locally owned and operated, with an emphasis on treating each other well, working hard and taking pride in each drink.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintains a calm demeanor during periods of high volume to keep store operating at company standard.
- Pick up supplies from storage and local markets for fresh ingredients.
- Proactively and consistently prepare the store to engage rush hours.
- Able to fill in on cashier, making drinks and other barista duties.
- Resolves customer problems or complaints by determining optimal solutions.
- Anticipates customer and store needs by constantly evaluating environment and customers for cues.
- Manages daily inventory, barista breaks, store opening & closing procedures.
- Creates a positive learning environment by providing clear, specific, timely and respectful coaching and feedback to team members.
- Ensures all team members to follow operational, health, safety and sanitation guidelines at all times.
- Exhibits a positive attitude and a willingness to make and learn from mistakes.
- Believes the desire to do what is right outweighs the desire to be right.
- Has a thirst to grow both professionally and personally.
Qualifications:
- Food Safety Manager's certificate (eligible for Maryland) or the ability to obtain one.
- Food allergen certified or the ability to obtain one prior to starting.
- Experience in a cafe/restaurant setting is preferred with a stable employment history.
- Strong interpersonal & multi-tasking skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Able to be both a leader and a team player.
