Location: Fully Remote (U.S.)
Employment Type: Full-Time, Nonexempt
Experience Required: Minimum 5 years as a litigation paralegal
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced insurance defense paralegal to serve as an integral member of the litigation team, providing hands-on daily support to attorneys throughout all phases of insurance defense cases, with a focus on personal injury and automobile accident defense. This position carries a diverse workload spanning the full case lifecycle — from initial intake and matter setup through discovery, depositions, expert coordination, and trial. The paralegal will take ownership of medical record management, building detailed chronologies and summaries that help attorneys evaluate claims and prepare case strategy. On the litigation side, the role involves, under partner supervision, initial drafting of pleadings, written discovery, and HIPAA-compliant records requests, as well as managing document productions and privilege logs. The paralegal will also serve as the organizational backbone of the Team’s caseload, maintaining calendars, monitoring critical deadlines, coordinating depositions and expert witness logistics, and ensuring that case files and court filings remain current and accurate. As cases approach trial, the paralegal will contribute to preparation efforts including assembling exhibit and witness lists, building trial binders, and handling logistics. This is a fast-paced, detailed-oriented role well suited to a professional with strong writing skills, prior insurance defense experience, and a working knowledge of insurer billing guidelines and time-entry practices.
