Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and versatile Handyman to join our dynamic team. Position may lead to a lead Handyman/Field Supervisor Position. MUST have reliable transportation and own their own tools. Must have good customer service skills and be neat and professional at ALL times. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety, functionality, and aesthetic appeal of our residential and commercial properties. Your expertise in mechanical, electrical, and general repair work will help maintain a high standard of quality across all facilities. The ideal candidate is energetic, detail-oriented, and ready to tackle a variety of tasks that keep our environments running smoothly and efficiently.
Duties
- Perform general repairs and maintenance tasks across residential and commercial properties, including plumbing, carpentry, painting, and drywall repairs
- Conduct electrical work such as troubleshooting circuits, installing fixtures, and interpreting schematics
- Operate tools and equipment including welders, ohmmeters, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to diagnose issues and implement solutions
- Assist with facilities maintenance projects, ensuring safety standards are met and work is completed efficiently
- Supervise or coordinate with other team members on larger repair or renovation projects
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing tenant or client concerns promptly and professionally
Requirements
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance or general handyman roles with a strong mechanical background
- Knowledge of schematics, electrical systems, welding techniques, and PLCs
- Ability to read technical diagrams and schematics accurately
- Electrical experience including troubleshooting using tools like ohmmeters
- Skilled in residential painting and basic carpentry tasks
- Supervising or leadership experience in maintenance or manufacturing settings preferred
- Strong communication skills in English to effectively document work orders and interact with clients or team members
- Familiarity with CMMS software for scheduling and record-keeping is advantageous
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment safely and effectively
