Location: Hybrid (schools within DBHDD region 5; Atlanta office; travel required)Must live within Effingham, Glynn, Appling, Jeff Davis counties area.
Salary: $40,000 - $50,000 dependent on experience + Benefits Package

Position Overview
The SOS Regional Prevention Coordinator will play a critical role in expanding and supporting Sources of Strength programming in Georgia elementary, middle, and high schools specifically in Glynn, Effingham, Appling, and Jeff Davis counties. The Coordinator will oversee the implementation of peer-led prevention strategies and provide technical assistance, training, and resources to participating school districts. This position is ideal for a motivated, organized self-starter passionate about prevention, mental health, and wellness.
Key Responsibilities
- Program Implementation:
- Develop and execute an outreach plan to introduce Sources of Strength programming to schools within Effingham, Appling, and Jeff Davis counties.
- Continue Sources of Strength programming and coordination in Glynn County (Brunswick High School).
- Recruit and onboard new participating institutions to ensure successful implementation of the program trainings.
- Facilitate regular Sources of Strength meetings with new schools/groups to provide support and guidance.
- Administer pre and post evaluation efforts among participating faculty and students.
- Collaborate with Peer Leaders and Adult Advisors to develop and administer school-wide campaigns.
- Technical Assistance:
- Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for program participants.
- Facilitate quarterly Collaborative Meetings for participating schools.
- Training and Events:
- Attend all Adult Advisor and Peer Leader Training.
- Plan and Coordinate Adult Advisor and Peer Leader Training for partner schools.
- Conduct training and workshops for student and faculty groups.
- Outreach and Communication:
- Work with Managers to promote the program, share success stories, and raise awareness via GPP communication outlets.
- Build relationships with community partners to enhance program reach and impact.
- Other Duties:
- Perform additional responsibilities as needed to support the mission of Sources of Strength and Georgia Prevention Project.
Qualifications
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in public health, social work, human services, or a related field.
- Experience:
- Experience in substance misuse prevention, mental health, or a related field preferred.
- Prior youth facilitation experience desired.
- Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Skills:
- Strong written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
- Creative problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to stand for long periods.
- Other Requirements:
- Reliable transportation and a valid Georgia driver’s license.
- Willingness to travel up to 75% as required.
- Must pass a statewide background check and fingerprinting.
