Job Title: Echo Technician / Cardiac Sonographer
Location: Rockwall, TX (Primary) | Dallas, TX (Floating)
Type: Contract
Shift & Schedule: Day Shift | Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM | 40 Hours per Week
Position Overview:
Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking Echo Technician / Cardiac Sonographer for an exciting Travel or Local job in Rockwall, TX.
Responsibilities:
- Perform transthoracic echocardiograms and stress echocardiography procedures
- Obtain high-quality diagnostic images while ensuring patient comfort and safety
- Review patient histories and prepare patients for procedures
- Operate and maintain echocardiography equipment according to departmental standards
- Accurately document examination findings and maintain patient records
- Collaborate with cardiologists and healthcare team members to support patient care
- Follow established protocols, infection control standards, and quality assurance guidelines
- Assist with vascular ultrasound studies as needed
- Float between assigned clinic locations to support operational needs
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited Echocardiography or Cardiovascular Ultrasound program
- Minimum of 1 year of recent clinic/outpatient experience within the last 3 years
- Current RDCS (Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer) or RCS (Registered Cardiac Sonographer) certification required
- Current BLS certification required (if required by facility)
- Experience performing echocardiograms and stress echocardiograms
- Strong cardiovascular imaging and patient assessment skills
- Excellent communication, documentation, and teamwork skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience performing carotid ultrasounds
- Experience performing lower arterial and lower venous studies
- Experience performing ABI (Ankle-Brachial Index) studies
- Experience performing abdominal aorta (ABD AO) studies
- Previous experience in a cardiology clinic or outpatient cardiovascular setting
- Vascular ultrasound experience preferred
