Cedar Springs Public Schools is seeking two school behavioral interventionists for the 2026-2027 school year. We are excited to engage with quality candidates that are friendly, organized, self-motivated problem solvers and enjoy working in a team environment meeting the individual needs of students. One of these positions will include Athletic Coordinator duties for Middle School sports (scheduling officials, uniform distribution, event set up and supervision, weather-related decisions for fall and spring sports, etc.). The second position will include some after school event support (study tables, event set up and supervision support, etc.). Both positions will be 40 hours per week
QUALIFICATIONS:

Valid Michigan teaching certificate preferred (but not required)

Athletic Coaching experience required for position 1

Event Supervision experience preferred for both positions

Restorative Practice training preferred

Ukeru or Safety Care training required (must be willing to obtain)

Understanding of behavioral characteristics associated with behavior disorders

Experience with providing guidance, motivating, and/or mentoring students required

Establishes positive relationships with students, parents, and school personnel

Ability to communicate well at various levels with students, parents, and school personnel

Evidence of a positive attitude and human relation skills

Evidence of high standards of ethics, honesty, and integrity in personal and professional matters

REPORTS TO: Building Principal for both positions, position 1 also reports to Athletic Director

SALARY RANGE:

Certified ($24.06-$26.30)

Non-certified ($22.41-$24.47)
WORK SCHEDULE: 8 hours/day (School Calendar + 15 days for Athletic Coordinator, School Calendar for the second position), flex scheduling on event days; overtime likely on some days. Regular schedule is 7:15am to 3:45pm with a 30-minute, duty-free lunch.
