This position is essentially a Shipping & Receiving / Saw Operator role in a manufacturing environment. The employee is responsible for ensuring materials are available, cut correctly, staged for production, tracked in inventory, and shipped or received as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and schedule raw materials for production.
- Verify material availability against work orders.
- Sets up and operates chop saw, Cosen saw, table saw and router to cut metal or plastic stock to dimensions.
- Reads job order for specifications, such as material, type and size of stock, and dimensions to be cut.
- Prepare and stage materials for internal production and external customers.
- Maintain saws, blades, and a clean, safe work area.
- Support shipping and receiving operations.
- Perform inventory transactions and maintain material records in the ERP/MRP system (E2).
- Assist with inventory counts and warehouse organization.
- Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment.
- Drive company vehicles for material pickups and deliveries when needed.
- Occasionally assist with CNC machines, routers, and shipping finished products.
- Monitor and manage scrap materials.
- Follow all safety procedures and quality management system (QMS) requirements.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English.
- 1–3 years of experience using hand tools and saws (table saw experience preferred).
- Mechanical aptitude and strong attention to detail.
- Basic math skills.
- Planning, organization, multitasking, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and follow directions.
- Forklift experience or ability to become certified.
- Clean driving record.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical work including standing, bending, reaching, and climbing.
Temp to perm after 3 months.
Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
