Job Summary
This is a part-time, hourly position [approximately XX–XX hours per week]. The Maintenance Technician keeps our communities safe, functional, and looking their best. This hands-on role covers everything from work-order execution and preventative maintenance to landscaping, curb appeal, and resident service. The right person takes pride in their work, troubleshoots problems independently, and represents Bedrock's values in every interaction.
Responsibilities
- Execute assigned work orders and report status to the Community Manager timely and efficiently
- Provide excellent customer service to residents, coworkers, and vendors
- Maintain pools, landscaping, utilities, roads, signage, and other community infrastructure
- Perform labor necessary to keep all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in good repair
- Identify and troubleshoot plumbing, electrical, and irrigation repairs
- Maintain all lawn care and landscaping, including weed treatment, leaf removal, planting and trimming shrubs and flowers, and other tasks as needed
- Prepare inventory homes for sale or rent
- Ensure the community maintains excellent curb appeal at all times
- Clean facility amenities, restrooms, and laundry rooms as needed
- Maintain vacant lots according to Bedrock Communities company standards
- Follow, maintain, and complete a preventative maintenance schedule
- Keep all maintenance and grounds equipment clean and properly cared for
- Perform other duties as assigned or requested
Requirements and Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of lawn care, general maintenance, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry
- Ability to work evenings and weekends on-call as needed
- Ability to lift up to 100 pounds following appropriate safety procedures
- Ability to work in all weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, etc.)
- Must be able to speak, write, and understand English sufficiently for effective communication. Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
- Should have a basic set of hand tools for performing daily job duties
- Must pass a background check and possess a valid driver's license, good driving record, reliable transportation, and proof of vehicle insurance
Compensation and Benefits
- Part-time, hourly position with compensation based on experience
- Paid time off accrued on a prorated basis according to hours worked
