Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival, provide menus, and answer questions about menu items and specials
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
- Manage guest relations by addressing concerns promptly, ensuring a positive dining experience
- Assist with food handling, food preparation support, bussing tables, and maintaining sanitation standards in accordance with food safety regulations
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate timely delivery of orders and ensure customer satisfaction
- Handle cash transactions accurately through cashiering processes while maintaining proper cash handling procedures
- Support host/hostess duties when needed, including seating guests efficiently during busy hours
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, dining areas, and service stations to meet sanitation standards
- Demonstrate proficiency in restaurant technology tools such as POS systems and reservation platforms like OpenTable
Qualifications
- Previous restaurant or food service experience preferred; fine dining or nightclub experience is a plus
- Familiarity with POS systems including Aloha POS, Micros POS or similar platforms
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and professionally
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy periods
- Knowledge of food safety protocols, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to perform basic math for cash handling and order calculations accurately
- Experience with upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities
- Basic kitchen experience or culinary knowledge is advantageous but not required
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanor that fosters guest loyalty
