Overview
Join our dynamic landscape team as a Crew Leader, Landscape and take charge of creating stunning outdoor environments! In this energetic role, you will lead a team of skilled landscapers to execute diverse landscaping projects, including lawn care, grounds maintenance, hardscape installation, and irrigation management. Your leadership will ensure high-quality work, safety compliance, and efficient project completion. Duties
- Supervise and coordinate daily activities of landscaping crews on construction projects and ongoing grounds maintenance tasks.
- Lead team members in performing lawn care, plant identification, pruning, planting, and gardening tasks with precision and care.
- Oversee landscape maintenance activities such as irrigation system installation and repair, hardscape construction, tree care, and grounds upkeep.
- Ensure all crew members operate grounds maintenance and landscaping equipment safely and effectively; operate company vehicles as needed.
- Manage irrigation systems to optimize water use and maintain healthy landscapes; troubleshoot irrigation issues promptly.
- Assign tasks based on skill levels, monitor progress, provide coaching, and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
- Communicate effectively with clients and project managers to meet specifications and deadlines while maintaining high standards of quality.
Requirements
- Proven experience in landscape maintenance, lawn care, gardening, or related outdoor work environments.
- Demonstrated supervising or crew management experience in landscaping or groundskeeping projects.
- Strong knowledge of plant identification, horticulture practices, hardscape features, and irrigation systems.
- Ability to operate grounds maintenance equipment such as mowers, trimmers, blowers, and other landscaping tools safely.
- Construction experience preferred; familiarity with construction projects is a plus.
- Valid driver’s license with the ability to operate a company vehicle responsibly.
- Leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team while maintaining safety standards.
- Excellent communication skills; detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities.
- Physical stamina for outdoor work in varying weather conditions; commitment to quality craftsmanship.
