Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and safety-conscious Boom Truck Driver to join our team. In this role, you will operate specialized boom trucks to transport, load, unload, and position various construction materials (Concrete Masonry Units) and concrete products. Your expertise in truck driving and equipment operation will ensure efficient delivery and installation at multiple job sites across area. Duties
- Safely operate boom trucks equipped with cranes for lifting and moving heavy materials such as concrete blocks, precast elements, and other construction supplies
- Load and unload freight efficiently using manual or mechanical methods, including forklifts when necessary
- Ensure all deliveries are completed accurately while adhering to safety protocols and traffic regulations
- Conduct routine inspections of the truck and equipment before and after shifts to maintain operational safety
- Maintain detailed logs of deliveries, route details, load weights, and vehicle maintenance reports
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record
- Experience operating manual transmission trucks and tractor-trailers
- Proficiency in driving various truck types including flatbeds, tanker trucks, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, and refrigerated trailers
- Prior delivery driver experience with freight handling and route driving in a commercial setting
- Ability to load & unload freight efficiently using forklifts or manual methods when needed
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to truck operation and material handling
- Strong communication skills for coordinating with team members and site personnel
Preferred qualifications include experience with crane operation on boom trucks, familiarity with different trailer types such as refrigerated or tanker units, and certifications related to forklift operation or specialized truck driving.
