Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide expert guidance on products related to beer, wine and tobacco
- Assist customers with product selection by understanding their needs and offering tailored recommendations
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately for transactions including cash handling, credit card processing, and returns
- Stock shelves efficiently, organize merchandise displays, and ensure the store remains clean and inviting
- Manage inventory levels through merchandising, stock replenishment, and inventory tracking using retail math principles
- Maintain excellent communication skills to address customer questions and resolve issues promptly
Experience
- Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is key!
- Knowledge of beer, wine and tobacco is a plus—training will be provided for those eager to expand their expertise
- Familiarity with POS systems, cashiering procedures, retail math, and merchandising enhances your ability to succeed in this role
- Strong organizational skills help manage stocking routines and maintain an orderly store environment
- Excellent communication skills in English are essential for engaging with customers and team members effectively
