The Administrative Assistant for the School of Education provides advanced and diversified administrative support services for the Office of the Director, assigned Program Director(s), and faculty of the SOE graduate programs.
Major responsibilities include providing administrative assistance in supporting the SOE in the growth and development of its various graduate programs and initiatives for FDU graduate online programs, all NJ, and international campuses, as well as its off-campus programs in local school districts and communities.
Additional responsibilities involve administrative support for course scheduling; faculty and student records; faculty advisement scheduling; purchasing; ordering supplies/resource materials; and data management, analysis, and reporting.
Required Qualifications:
1. High School degree or GED required. College credits preferred.
2. A minimum of 3 years administrative work experience required, preferably in a multi-faceted, fast-paced work environment, including office oversight responsibilities, and interfacing with multiple organizational units.
3. Experience and a high level of proficiency related to the use of diverse technologies, data processing, data analysis, and reporting; and applications to tasks using word processing, database, spreadsheets, graphics, on-line services, and social media platforms, etc.
4. Advanced proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and custom database systems, with specific expertise in executing complex workflows like mail merges. Demonstrated ability to process, analyze, and report data, alongside a proven track record of quickly mastering new technologies.
5. Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, problem-solving ability, and organizational skills.
6. Employment is contingent upon a satisfactory background check. Candidates for hire will be required to sign a waiver authorizing the background check.
