Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced, highly motivated, and qualified Daycare Director to immediately take over the operational, regulatory, and educational leadership of our child care center. The ideal candidate will oversee daily operations, ensure strict compliance with state licensing regulations, manage teaching staff, and rebuild strong, trusting relationships with our families and community. Responsibilities
1. Licensing & Compliance
- Maintain full, uninterrupted compliance with all state and local child care licensing regulations, health department codes, and safety standards.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for licensing officials, inspectors, and regulatory bodies.
- Keep all student files, staff records, and facility documentation meticulously organized and up to date for immediate inspection.
2. Staff Leadership & Management
- Provide ongoing mentorship, professional development training, and regular performance evaluations.
- Coordinate staff scheduling and classroom assignments to ensure proper teacher-to-child ratios at all times.
3. Program & Curriculum Development
- Oversee the implementation of a high-quality, age-appropriate educational curriculum that fosters child development and learning progress.
- Ensure classrooms are safe, clean, well-equipped, and provide a nurturing, structured environment for children.
- Promote positive behavior management strategies among teaching staff to support children's emotional stability.
4. Family & Community Relations
- Serve as the welcoming face of the center, maintaining open, transparent, and empathetic communication with parents and guardians.
- Address and resolve parental concerns, questions, or feedback swiftly and professionally.
- Conduct facility tours for prospective families and manage the enrollment pipeline.
5. Business & Facilities Operations
- Manage the center’s budget, tuition collection, and operational expenses.
- Oversee daily administrative tasks, attendance tracking, and record-keeping systems.
- Ensure the physical building, playground, and equipment are secure, clean, and perfectly maintained.
- Promoting ,enrolling new children
Job Requirements & Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE), Child Development, or a closely related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 2–3 years of proven experience working as a Daycare Director or Assistant Director in a licensed facility.
- Certifications: Must hold a valid State Director Credential (or meet immediate state eligibility), CPR/First Aid certification, and pass a comprehensive criminal background check / fingerprint clearance.
- Skills: Exceptional computer skills, strong knowledge of state child care licensing laws, excellent organizational management, and superb verbal and written communication skills.
Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
