Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of non-alcoholic beverages, including specialty coffees, teas, and smoothies with precision and care
- Weekend availability a PLUS
- Operate our Square POS system to process transactions efficiently and accurately
- Engage with customers in a friendly manner, providing excellent customer service and beverage recommendations
- Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including food preparation stations, seating areas, and equipment to ensure food safety standards are met
- Handle cash transactions accurately, process payments, and give correct change using retail math skills
- Assist with food handling and basic food preparation to support café operations
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly while maintaining quality standards
Requirements
- Previous barista experience or food service experience is not required
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to perform basic math for cash handling and retail transactions accurately
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during peak hours
- A positive attitude with enthusiasm for creating welcoming environments for guests
