Backend General Labor
Reports to
Production Manager, Assistant Manager, Store Manager
Job purpose
Support the processing team; receiving products and keeping the store clean and organized.
Duties and responsibilities
- Always ensure exceptional customer service
- Maintain a clean and safe work area.
- Proper stacking of all carts
- Weigh and record the weights of all products received correctly.
- Break down boxes.
- Bale clothes, linens or cardboard as needed.
- Box up seasonal misc and shoes as needed.
- Clean all trash cans daily.
- Clean bathrooms and breakroom daily
- Complete the closing procedures.
- Organize all hanger carriers, filling all hanger rails on the sorting tables.
- Move filled gaylords to the proper area in the backend.
- Properly label all gaylords – every Gaylord that has been set up on a pallet must have a label that has the store name and the contents in it.
- Pair shoes – daily goals must be met.
- Record end of night count
- Support management in providing a safe environment for fellow co-workers and customers by identifying and correcting hazards and/or equipment in need of maintenance.
Working conditions
This job will be in and out of air-conditioned space. Sometimes you will be outside loading and unloading trucks. You will need to dress appropriately. You must always wear a T-shirt and close-toed shoes.
