We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Pet Groomer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals and a strong background in pet care, grooming, and handling. This role involves providing high-quality grooming services to pets while ensuring their comfort and safety. You will work closely with pet owners to understand their grooming needs and provide exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities
- Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, haircuts, and nail clipping for various breeds of dogs and other pets.
- Ensure the well-being of pets during grooming sessions by using proper handling techniques and animal restraint when necessary.
- Maintain a clean and organized grooming area, adhering to health and safety standards.
- Communicate effectively with pet owners about their pets’ grooming needs, behaviors, and any concerns observed during the grooming process.
- Provide basic pet care advice to customers regarding grooming maintenance at home.
- Assist in the care of animals in the facility.
- Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and maintaining client records as needed.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in pet grooming is required; certification in pet grooming is a plus.
- Knowledge of animal care practices, including heavy lifting when necessary for larger breeds.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with pet owners.
