The Office of Technology and Communication (OTC) is hiring an IT Operations Coordinator. As the IT Operations Coordinator, you'll provide operational, administrative, and business support to the Office of the Chief Information Officer (CIO). You'll work closely with technology leaders, Human Resources, Finance, and departments across the City to coordinate information, support business processes, and help ensure technology initiatives.

Here’s what you can expect to do:

Handle daily operations for the Office of the CIO, including managing meeting, calendars, agenda and materials, and follow-up activities.

Support the City's technology intake and project coordination processes by organizing requests, maintaining information, and ensuring work moves through established workflows.

Maintain business, project, staffing, financial, and purchasing information across multiple business systems.

Support hiring and onboarding activities by coordinating recruitment processes, tracking position requests.

Assist with purchasing, invoice processing, spending requests, and procurement activities while coordinating with Finance staff.

Prepare reports, presentations, meeting materials, and executive correspondence.

Maintain organizational charts, operational documentation, and shared resources.

Identify opportunities to improve administrative and operational processes while helping ensure information is accurate, organized, and accessible.

Information Specific to this Position: This position is located at 25 W 4th St, St Paul, MN 55102, (City Hall Annex Building) and works a daytime schedule with fifty (50%) percent of the work performed in the office.

The eligible list created from this assessment will also be used to fill Management Assistant I positions as they become available in various departments and bargaining units within the City.

A Bachelor's Degree in Public Administration, Urban Planning, Information Systems, Management, Business Management, or closely related field. Acceptable, related degrees may be specified by the requirements of each hiring department.
A combination of education and experience to equal four years or more can be used to qualify for the position.
Some positions within this class may require possession of a valid Minnesota Class D Driver's License or equivalent out of state driver's license.
