Manufacturing Shift Supervisor – 3rd Shift (12am to 8:30am)
About the company:
Petainer Manufacturing USA Inc. is a provider of specialty PET packaging products for the beverage market – particularly large containers (10 – 30 liters) for beer, wine, and water.
Located in Mt. Pleasant, TN, the Production Supervisor will report to the Production Manager. The Production Supervisor will lead a team of operators in a work team to operate an injection mold and blow-molding line and peripheral equipment. This is a leadership position with opportunity to grow with the location and new machinery.
The selected candidate for this role will be required to exhibit the technical ability to troubleshoot plant equipment as needed, including leading the team to perform preventative maintenance. This is a hands-on role requiring knowledge of plant maintenance, troubleshooting and scheduling.
Responsibilities:
· Leading a team of operators to ensure production output and efficiencies are achieved
· Ensuring that quality standards are achieved per Petainer's SOP
· Ensure that SOPs are followed on the production line
· Train new operators on various workstations from time to time
· Report production issues to the Production Manager
· Oversee preventative maintenance of plant equipment and machinery, plan for periodic maintenance within production schedule
· Troubleshoot & correct machine failures, utilize technical resources to solve problems
· Maintain adequate spare parts on site to minimize downtime
· No job is too small
Skills & experience:
· Six plus years or more in a manufacturing operations setting with four years in a leadership role
· Must have four plus years of experience in mechanical troubleshooting or maintenance
· Must have strong communication skills and a proven history of effectively leading a team
· Must be able to drive a sit-down forklift
· Plastics experience is preferred but not necessary
· Must be a problem solver and a natural leader
Pay: $23.00 per hour
