Responsibilities
- Assist with food production and meal preparation to support the dietary department’s daily operations
- Serve meals to residents in a courteous and timely manner, ensuring proper portioning and presentation
- Maintain strict food safety standards through proper handling, sanitation, and cleaning procedures
- Support kitchen staff with bussing tables, cleaning dining areas, and ensuring a clean environment for food service
- Help with food handling and storage according to health regulations to prevent contamination
- Follow established protocols for sanitation and kitchen safety to uphold sanitation standards
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing residents’ dietary needs and preferences with kindness and respect
Experience
- Previous experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or the food industry is highly desirable
- Familiarity with food preparation, serving, and sanitation practices within a dietary or culinary setting
- Strong independent time management skills to efficiently handle meal service schedules and cleaning routines
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling techniques
- Experience in customer service or working directly with residents or patients is a plus
- Prior dietary aide or food service experience enhances your ability to excel in this role
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety
Pay: From $14.00 per hour
