Primary Duties and Responsibilities
The Nutrition Assistant II (NAII) displays and practices a work-style that reflects the mission, vision and values of the department and hospital. Projects an image of professionalism in communication, appearance and conduct. Participates in the continuous quality improvement (CQI) process by completing appropriate forms and preventative maintenance logs.
The Nutrition Assistant II (NAII) will perform all responsibilities of NA I by delivering nutrition service to patients. In addition, the NA II will take on specialty positions that require a higher level of training and responsibilities.
These positions include but are not limited to:
- Phones
- Mother baby ambassador
- Cleaning
- Coffee
- Cross-trained and able to work at both facilities (Newport and Irvine)
The NA works under the direction of the Nutrition Assistant Lead, the Patient Care Supervisors and the Patient Services Operations Manager. The NA also collaborates and takes direction from the clinical nutrition staff as well as working closely with nursing to ensure patient satisfaction. Contributes to positive customer relations especially with regard to customer service by assuring high quality service and that sanitation standards are met.
The NA will perform all other duties as assigned by lead, supervisor or manager
