Duties
- Assist with daily meal preparation, ensuring all dishes meet quality and presentation standards
- Support menu planning activities by suggesting creative and nutritious options
- Handle food with care, adhering strictly to food safety and hygiene protocols
- Prepare ingredients using proper knife skills and cooking techniques for various dishes
- Serve meals efficiently while maintaining excellent customer service and attention to detail
- Contribute to catering events by assisting with food setup, presentation, and cleanup
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, including food handling stations and equipment
Experience
- Previous dietary department or dietary aide experience preferred, demonstrating familiarity with meal service environments
- Hands-on culinary experience in restaurants or fine dining establishments is highly valued
- Knowledge of food preparation, cooking methods, and food handling procedures required
- Experience in menu planning and meal preparation within the food industry is advantageous
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in various cooking techniques necessary for diverse menu items
- Understanding of food safety standards and sanitation practices essential for maintaining a safe kitchen environment
- Background in catering or large-scale food service operations is a plus
