Leapros Skilled Trades is actively hiring Electrician in MCALLEN, TX. The Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in commercial and service environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of electrical codes, the ability to troubleshoot complex electrical issues, and experience working independently or as part of a service team.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $20 to $35 Per Hour BOE
Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems including conduit, lighting fixtures, electrical panels, transformers, and switches.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform corrective actions to ensure system functionality.
- Install, bend, and remove conduit to accommodate specific wiring needs at various sites.
- Pull electrical wiring through conduit and connect it to circuit breakers, transformers, and outlets.
- Interpret and work from blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams to ensure accurate installations.
- Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits using various testing devices to ensure safety.
- Ensure compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC), local codes, and company safety standards.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used for service documentation.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in commercial electrical installations or electrical service work.
- Possession of necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) and professional hand tools.
- Deep knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC) standards and safety protocols.
- Dependable and punctual, with the ability to work independently and manage service schedules.
- Reliable transportation for travel to job sites throughout the local area.
- Effective communication skills for interacting with clients and project managers.
Physical Requirements:
- Must have manual dexterity, a good sense of balance, and excellent hand-eye coordination.
- Must be able to climb stairs, ladders, and poles safely.
- Must be physically capable of pulling wires and cables through conduits.
- Must be able to work in inclement weather conditions and around wood dust or fumes.
- Must be able to see color to discern color-coded wiring.
- Must be aware of OSHA safety standards and protocols.
- Must be able to sit, stand, kneel, stoop, and walk for long periods of time.
- Must be physically capable of lifting and carrying up to 80 lbs.
Pay Transparency:
The anticipated pay range for this position is $20 to $35 per hour, based on relevant factors such as experience, skills, education, internal equity, and geographic location. Final compensation will be determined during the interview process by the hiring authority.
