Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Workers' Compensation Legal Assistant to join our dedicated team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive legal support to our workers' compensation attorneys, ensuring smooth case management and effective client communication. Your proactive approach and organizational skills will help us maintain our reputation for excellence in representing injured workers.
Responsibilities
- Assist attorneys with case preparation, including drafting legal documents and correspondence related to workers' compensation claims
- Manage and organize case files using document management systems such as iManage and PCLaw
- Conduct legal research on procedural law, regulations, and relevant case law to support workers' compensation cases
- Interview clients, witnesses, and medical providers to gather pertinent information for claims processing
- Handle confidential client information with discretion and ensure compliance with privacy standards
- Maintain accurate data entry, filing, and document review to support ongoing litigation efforts
- Coordinate with clients, medical providers, and insurance companies to facilitate communication and case progress
Skills
- Proven experience in workers' compensation law or personal injury law with strong understanding of related legal procedures
- Familiarity with legal research tools such as Westlaw and LexisNexis
- Proficiency in legal case management software including iManage and PCLaw
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases efficiently
- Strong writing skills for drafting reports, summaries, and legal correspondence
- Effective client communication skills with professional phone etiquette
- Knowledge of procedural law, civil litigation support, and document review processes
- Ability to handle confidential information responsibly while maintaining attention to detail

Pay: $18.00 - $32.72 per hour
