Job Summary
We are seeking a Mechanical Designer to join our growing business. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in mechanical design principles and be proficient with Solidworks. This role involves designing parts and equipment using Soldiworks 3D CAD software. The The Mechanical Designer will play a crucial role in the development of solutions that meet client specifications and industry standards.
Duties
- Design parts and assemblies using Soldiworks
- Prepares technical drawings using Solidworks
- Prepares accurate manufacturing drawings using Solidworks
- Oversees the execution of assigned projects
- Evaluate and select purchased components for proper application, cost effectiveness, lead time
- Prepare parts descriptions for purchase and identification purposes
- Assist with equipment troubleshooting
- Manage projects with assistance of Design Lead
- Perform additional duties as requested and assigned
Experience
- Experience in CAD software is essential; proficiency with Solidworks is required.
- Experience with all Microsoft Office Software
- Experience using measuring tools: tape measures, dial calipers, protractors, micrometers
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to apply engineering principles to real-world applications.
- Familiarity with metal fabrication processes and methodologies.
- Previous experience in a metal fabrication environment is preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively while managing time effectively.
