Veterans Security Operations is seeking to increase our unarmed division to service our rapid growing portfolio of clients. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring and responding to security risks, ensuring the safety of people and property of your assigned post. This is a fast-paced position with some weekends required, so we're looking for an individual with experience in the security field who can handle stress well and remain vigilant under pressure.
Position Overview
Veterans Security Operations is seeking professional Unarmed Security Officers to support our growing portfolio of clients.
This position is assigned to a client whose contract requires security personnel to have a military affiliation. Qualified applicants must be a current or former member of the United States Armed Forces, including Veterans, Active Duty, National Guard, or Reserve personnel.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for protecting people, property, and assets by maintaining a visible security presence, observing and reporting suspicious activity, and responding appropriately to incidents. This is a fast-paced position that may require evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Responsibilities
- Respond promptly to incidents or criminal activity, whether on foot or in a vehicle.
- Maintain a strong, visible presence to deter suspicious or unlawful behavior.
- Conduct regular patrols of client properties to identify potential threats or safety concerns.
- Observe, identify, and report unusual conditions, activities, individuals, or vehicles.
- Take reasonable and appropriate actions to protect persons and property.
- Respond to and de-escalate conflicts or emergencies as necessary.
- Address public concerns, complaints, or questions in a professional manner.
- Escort unauthorized, disruptive, or trespassing individuals from the premises when required.
- Complete accurate and detailed incident and activity reports.
- Perform other related duties as assigned to ensure client safety and smooth site operations.
Requirements
- Must be a Veteran, National Guard member, or Reservist.
- Valid Washington State driver's license.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Clean driving record and ability to provide a current driving abstract upon hire.
- Reliable transportation.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent observation, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including days, nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
- Ability to pass a background check and pre-employment drug screening.
- Must be able to read, write, and speak fluent English.
