Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Booking up to 100 loads weekly.
- Tracking, communicating with carriers and sales department on pick up and deliveries.
- Anticipating issues and proactive problem solving.
- Solving retroactive disruption supply chain issues.
- Coordinating, planning, and communicating with sales department.
- Ensuring logistics departments operates in a manner that promotes company sustainability.
- Ensure carriers are DOT compliant and in the required rating category.
- Keeping safety standards first as it relates to logistics.
- Striving to keep strong relationships with carriers.
- Monitoring and insuring carrier insurance coverage certificates.
Job Qualifications and Requirements:
- Excellent communication and computer skills.
- Outstanding analytical, problem solving, and organizational abilities.
- Understanding of logistics industry and related logistics tools.
- Ability to operate in a continual fast-paced environment, handle and adapt to stressful situations.
- Solid understanding of shipping, warehousing, and overall plant operations
