What You’ll Do:
- Relationship & Business Development
- Proactively develop and expand a portfolio of commercial relationships through networking, referrals, and community involvement
- Serve as a trusted advisor to business clients by understanding their operations, goals, and financial needs
- Represent the organization at industry events, business associations, and community networking opportunities
- Lending & Credit Management
- Originate, structure, and pre‑qualify commercial loan requests
- Analyze financial statements, cash flow, and credit risk to support lending decisions
- Prepare clear and well‑documented credit presentations for internal approval
- Coordinate loan closings, renewals, and ongoing credit administration
- Conduct site visits, property inspections, and annual reviews as appropriate
- Portfolio & Client Support
- Manage ongoing client relationships to ensure timely service and portfolio quality
- Work with clients to establish and grow deposit and treasury relationships
- Address client inquiries, resolve issues, and communicate policy or product changes
- Assist with delinquency resolution when necessary
- Collaboration & Leadership
- Partner with internal teams including credit, operations, and business development
- Share market insights and portfolio updates with leadership
- At higher experience levels, support the development and mentoring of less‑experienced relationship managers
- Compliance & Professional Development
- Perform all responsibilities in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies
- Stay current on industry trends, lending standards, and regulatory requirements
- Participate in ongoing professional development, training, and certification programs
What We’re Looking For:
- Entry‑Level: 1–3 years of business banking or commercial lending experience
- Primarily office‑based with regular client meetings and site visits
- Travel within assigned market area may be required
- Ability to sit for extended periods, communicate verbally, and use standard office equipment
- Occasional standing, walking, and lifting of light objects (up to 25)
