Birk Aerosystems Corporation is a small aerospace company that manufactures interior products for the general aviation and commercial aviation industry. Birk Aerosystems is seeking a full time Production Expediter to join our production team at our Garden Grove, CA facility. This position moves parts through various manufacturing process stages using work instructions, purchase orders and engineering drawings.
Please note that this position requires approximately 8-20 hours of driving per week. Candidate must be 25 years of age and must have valid driver's license with no DUI record in order to drive the company transit van.
Production Expediter Job Responsibilities:
- Move parts through manufacturing and production processes to the next production stage
- Generate word orders for manufacturing processes
- Generate purchase orders and material shippers in order to move parts to outside vendors.
- Drive to local vendors to pickup and dropoff parts
- Conducts quality control checks
- Reads and follows assembly work instructions
- Documents completed manufacturing and assembly actions on appropriate forms
- Cleans and maintains work area
- Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
Assembler Skills/Qualifications:
- Dexterity and hand-eye coordination, including the ability to grasp, manipulate, and assemble parts and components that are often small
- Ability to read and follow assembly work instructions
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings / schematics
- Ability to lift boxes that weigh 25 pounds
- Ability to walk up and down stairs
- 25 years of age
- Valid California Driver's License
- No DUI record
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Previous manufacturing experience preferred

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
