We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Medical Assistant Floats to join our Allergy team. The ideal candidates will have excellent interpersonal skills, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care. This position requires a combination of administrative and clinical duties, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow in our medical facility. This candidate will support the following office locations: Bethel Rd, Dublin, Delaware, East Broad, Westerville, Hamilton Rd and Grove City.

Work Hours: Mondays-Fridays | 7:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Occasional overtime required.
Work Location: Float | Bethel Rd, Dublin, Delaware, East Broad, Westerville, Hamilton Rd and Grove City.
Essential Shot Room Functions:

Maintain general appearance, cleanliness and stock for the shot room. Restock room as needed and order supplies through the approved clinic procedure. Reorder biologics in a timely manner.

Notify appropriate Manager, via email, for Buy & Bill inventory needed for patients’ next appointment.

Clean and sterilize instruments, maintain diagnostic equipment.

Administers allergy and biologic injections as delegated under physician’s supervision.

Organize refrigerator vials in their appropriate bins. Log daily refrigerator temperatures.

Monitor the monthly vial inventory and discard any expired vials.

Educate new patients on shot room policies and ensure that consent forms are signed.

Remain with patient the required 20-30 minutes observation time after the last injection is given. Observes, records and reports patient’s vitals and reactions to treatment.

Be knowledgeable of all shot room medication and IT treatments.

Check emergency medications monthly and reorder as needed. Effectively manage emergency procedures and protocols.

Triage and manage patient and other MD phone calls and update charts with documentation of those calls.

Any other duties as assigned by the Senior Clinical Manager.

Requirements:
Skills/Experience:

Qualified Applicant should have at least 1 year experience in a medical office environment.

Excellent oral and written communication skills required.

Knowledge of GE-Centricity practice management software and EHR beneficial but not required.

Knowledge of Microsoft Office required.

Ability to operate a computer and basic office equipment.
-
Ability to operate a multi-line telephone system.

Must know sterile technique
-
Adheres to all HIPAA privacy and security regulations and guidelines.
Education/Certifications:

Medical Assistant Certification or LPN Certification
-
High School Diploma or GED required
-
Current CPR Certification required
