This position requires direct interface with customers daily. Experience with parts sales and dealing with the general public is preferred.
Pay is hourly plus overtime if applicable and monthly volume bonus. Pay range is based on experience with the ability to look up and sell parts.
Purpose:
This is an over-the-counter parts sales position dealing in tractor and trailer parts. It is a high-volume sales position and requires the successful candidate to be very self-motivated.
Position:
This position is responsible for sales of all parts.
- Parts include all trailer parts, tractors and implement parts, all lawnmower parts, and includes all accessories and lubricants.
Roles:
- Greet all costumers with a friendly attitude
- Help answer phones
- Work counter for all parts sales
- Create invoices and complete sales in parts management system
- Receive parts into inventory management system
- Understand and assistance with part orders and inventory
- Assist with maintaining all parts inventory and cycle counts
- Assist with service writing when required
Responsibilities:
- Increasing parts and service sales
- Enter lost sales reports
- Keep parts counter and show room clean and fresh appearance - reorganize show room on occasion
- Maintain a cash draw
Expectations:
- Learn parts inventory management system (Aspen) and all paper work needed to complete parts sales
- Learn manufactures web-based parts software.
- Deal with suppliers to build good working relationships
- Become a team player to assist other store departments
- Work alternate Saturdays from March through October
Skills:
- Ability to build a strong customer relationship
- Basic computer skills (Email, Word, Excel)
- Basic calculator skills (margins, mark up, and taxes)
- Basic mechanical understanding
- Multi-tasking a plus
