Job Summary
We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist to manage incoming payments, track invoices, and ensure timely collections. This role plays a key part in maintaining healthy cash flow and supporting the financial operations of our remodeling projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate and send invoices for remodeling projects and service work
- Track customer payments including checks, ACH, and card transactions
- Monitor outstanding balances and follow up with clients on past-due accounts
- Communicate professionally with customers regarding billing questions and payment plans
- Reconcile accounts receivable records and resolve discrepancies
- Maintain accurate financial records and customer account details
- Assist with job costing and project billing coordination
- Prepare aging reports and support month-end closing activities
Qualifications
- 1–3 years of accounts receivable, bookkeeping, or accounting experience
- Experience in construction or remodeling industry is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Proficiency in QuickBooks (or similar accounting software)
- Comfortable using Microsoft Excel and general office tools
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of construction billing, progress invoicing, or job costing
- Experience working with contractors, vendors, and homeowners
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle sensitive financial matters
