Overview
Versailles Municipal Utilities is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Superintendent of the Wastewater Treatment Plant located in Versailles, Kentucky. Versailles operates a 4.5 MGD SBR plant with UV disinfection.
Duties
- Utilize mechanical knowledge to oversee plant operations
- Coordinate and supervise plant staff
- Perform heavy lifting and manual labor as needed
- Maintain and repair equipment to ensure smooth operations
- Monitor and control distributed control systems
- Utilize basic math skills
- Assist in plumbing tasks as required
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment as needed
- May serve as pre-treatment coordinator
Requirements
-Minimum high school diploma, or GED, supplemented by work experience and education acceptable by the Commonwealth of Kentucky to have received a Class III Wastewater Plant Operator License
- Experience in a similar role preferred
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual labor
- Proficiency in maintaining and repairing plant equipment
- Knowledge of plant SCADA control systems is advantageous
- Basic math skills for inventory management
- Ability to plumb and troubleshoot equipment
- Experience with logic controllers is beneficial
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
