Duties
- Prepare and serve a wide variety of beverages including cocktails, wine, craft beers, and spirits with precision and flair.
- Develop and refine beverage recipes to keep our menu fresh and innovative.
- Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with guests, taking orders, and ensuring their experience exceeds expectations.
- Manage cash transactions accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, processing payments efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area in compliance with food safety standards and sanitation regulations.
- Monitor inventory levels of alcohol, mixers, garnishes, and supplies; restock as needed to ensure smooth operations.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff during food service or catering events to deliver seamless hospitality experiences.
- Uphold responsible alcohol service policies and handle difficult situations professionally when necessary.
Requirements
- Proven experience in bartending or mixology within a hospitality or restaurant setting; fine dining experience is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of beverage recipes, spirits, wine varieties, brewing processes, and cocktail techniques.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for processing transactions accurately.
- Excellent time management skills to handle busy shifts efficiently while maintaining high-quality service.
- Demonstrated ability in sales techniques to promote drink specials and increase bar revenue.
- Experience with food handling, food safety standards, and basic math for cash handling and retail math calculations.
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and special events like banquets or catering functions.
- Hospitality industry experience with a focus on customer satisfaction; retail math skills are a plus.
