Position Summary:
We are looking for a skilled Residential Construction Laborer to join our team. This role is a full time employment opportunity which involves performing a variety of carpentry tasks, including framing, demolition, finish carpentry, Installation.
The ideal candidate will be comfortable operating tools such as nail guns, screw guns, saws, drills, and other essential construction equipment. With 5-10 years of experience in residential construction, the right person will have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a willingness to collaborate with our team on high-quality residential projects.
Location: Greater Sacramento area (Concentration in Roseville, Rocklin, Granite Bay, Auburn)
Key Responsibilities:
- Carpentry Work: Perform framing, demolition, and other general carpentry tasks.
- Tool Operation: Safely and efficiently operate nail guns, screw guns, saws, drills, and other construction tools.
- Plan Reading: Interpret basic building plans and blueprints with guidance.
- Installation: Precisely install doors, door frames, Windows, crown molding, cabinetry, shelving, and hardware, ensuring alignment, functionality, and a high-quality finish.
- Demolition: Safely remove existing structures, walls, fixtures, and materials while preserving elements needed for remodel.
- Documentation: Keep accurate records of work completed, materials used, and project changes for clear communication.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and distribute building materials on-site.
- Safety Compliance: Follow all job site safety procedures and protocols.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with lead carpenters, project managers, and other team members.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 5-10 years in residential carpentry, including framing, and basic trade assistance.
- Skills: Ability to work with hand and power tools, with a strong understanding of construction fundamentals.
- Physical Stamina: Capable of lifting materials that are 60+ lbs, working on ladders, and performing physically demanding tasks.
- Attention to Detail: Commitment to high-quality craftsmanship and following project specifications.
- Safety Awareness: Understanding of basic construction site safety protocols.
- Communication: Ability to take direction, ask questions when needed, and collaborate with team members.
- License: Valid Class C driver’s license and reliable transportation to job sites in the Sacramento area.
Education:
High school diploma
Work Environment:
This role requires working on active construction sites, often outdoors, in varying weather conditions and physical environments.
