American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position at a high-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center, requiring a minimum of 4 years of adult and pediatric ED experience and night shift availability.

Work setting is a large, high-volume, inner-city Level 1 trauma center's Emergency Care Center

Handles complex, high-acuity adult and pediatric trauma and emergency cases
-
Night shift, 12 hours per shift, 3 shifts per week
-
Travelers are expected to work 4 weekend shifts per month

Block scheduling is generally not approved

No on-call requirements

Active RN license — GA state or Compact license required

Current BLS and ACLS certifications required; PALS required

TNCC and/or ENPC certifications preferred

Minimum 4 years of well-rounded adult and pediatric emergency nursing experience required

Experience in high-volume, large-scale trauma environments required; candidates with experience limited to small or low-acuity hospitals will not be considered

Demonstrated ability to manage critical, fast-paced, high-pressure situations

Provide emergency nursing care in a high-acuity, high-volume Level 1 trauma center environment handling diverse and severe cases

Level 1 trauma designation reflects the complexity and intensity of cases managed in this unit
