Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive grooming services including bathing, brushing, fluff-drying hair trimming, pet coat styling, and nail trimming to meet each pet’s specific needs.
- Handle dogs safely and confidently using animal restraint techniques to ensure both pet and groomer safety during grooming procedures.
- Communicate effectively with pet owners to understand their grooming preferences and provide professional advice on pet coat care and maintenance.
- Maintain a clean and organized grooming station, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitized and ready for use.
- Assist with pet handling during grooming appointments, demonstrating gentle animal handling skills to keep pets calm and comfortable throughout the process.

- Proven experience in pet grooming, including pet coat styling, pet nail trimming, and bathing techniques.

- Safety-first handling: recognizing stress signals, following emergency protocols, and adhering to daily safety rules.
- Teamwork: assist with handoffs, cleaning, and stepping in when colleagues need help; recommend products without pressure.
- Professionalism: punctuality, accurate timekeeping, salon-appropriate attire, and maintenance of personal grooming tools (sharpening/sanitizing).
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary for handling larger dogs or equipment safely.
- Customer service aptitude with a friendly attitude that fosters trust and satisfaction among clients.
- Basic understanding of animal behavior, animal care, and companion animal handling principles.

Tools and maitenance
- Employee-Provided Tools: Employees must provide and maintain their own sharp and precision tools, including shears, clippers, specialized brushes, and clipper blades.
- Maintenance & Disinfection: Employees are solely responsible for sharpening, sanitizing, and maintaining their own equipment; the salon does not provide sharpening or disinfecting services.
- Salon Provisions: The salon provides heavy infrastructure and shared consumables (washing tubs, dryers, shampoos, towels) but not tool maintenance.
- Safety & Compliance: Management may inspect employee-owned power tools to verify electrical safety.
