Reports To: Warehouse Manager
Position Summary:
The Warehouse Lead / Supervisor supports daily warehouse, production, and light construction operations by coordinating personnel, materials, inventory, tools, and workflow to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule. This hands-on leadership role works closely with the Warehouse Manager to support production needs, manage inventory, oversee material movement, and maintain an organized and productive work environment.
This position also requires hands-on construction and fabrication experience, including the use of basic power tools and the ability to read and interpret blueprints and production drawings.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support daily warehouse, production, and light construction/fabrication activities
- Coordinate labor, materials, tools, and equipment to meet production and shipping schedules
- Assign and prioritize work based on operational needs
- Monitor project progress and communicate status updates to the Warehouse Manager
- Manage inventory movement, including receiving, stocking, replenishment, and material distribution
- Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with cycle counts, audits, and inventory reconciliation
- Track tools, materials, and equipment to ensure availability and accountability
- Operate forklifts and oversee safe material handling practices
- Operate and support use of basic construction and fabrication tools including nail guns, staple guns, power drills, saws, and other hand/power tools
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, cutsheets, and work instructions to support production and assembly tasks
- Ensure employees follow safety procedures, work instructions, and quality standards
- Train and provide day-to-day guidance to warehouse and production personnel
- Assist with shipping, receiving, and inventory-related reporting
- Support continuous improvement efforts to improve workflow and efficiency
Qualifications
- 5+ years of warehouse, manufacturing, production, or construction/fabrication experience
- Previous lead or supervisory experience REQUIRED
- Hands-on construction or fabrication experience required (use of nail guns, staple guns, saws, drills, and other power tools)
- Ability to read and interpret cutsheets, blueprints, drawings, work instructions, and production specifications
- Strong inventory management and material handling experience
- Forklift experience required
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook and Excel
