MedOp Solutions is seeking an experienced Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel assignment. This is an outstanding opportunity for an OR nurse with dedicated cardiovascular surgical experience to join a highly skilled surgical team performing complex open-heart and cardiovascular procedures.

The Cardiovascular Operating Room specializes in complex cardiac and vascular surgical procedures requiring highly skilled perioperative nursing care.
Common procedures may include:
- Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (CABG)
- Valve repair and replacement
- Aortic procedures
- Vascular surgeries
- Minimally invasive cardiac procedures
- Hybrid cardiovascular interventions
Adult patients requiring:
- Open-heart surgery
- Coronary artery disease interventions
- Structural heart procedures
- Valve disease treatment
- Thoracic and vascular surgical care
- Complex cardiovascular surgical procedures
- Circulate cardiovascular surgical procedures in the operating room
- Prepare and maintain sterile surgical environments
- Coordinate patient care before, during, and after cardiovascular procedures
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, perfusionists, surgical technologists, and interdisciplinary teams
- Monitor patient safety throughout surgical procedures
- Maintain accurate intraoperative documentation
- Ensure compliance with infection prevention, patient safety, and regulatory standards
- Respond effectively during emergent cardiovascular procedures
- Active Illinois Registered Nurse license
- Minimum 1 year of recent CVOR nursing experience
- Current BLS Certification
- Current ACLS Certification
- Recent Cardiovascular Operating Room experience
- Strong knowledge of cardiovascular surgical procedures and perioperative standards
- Previous travel nursing experience
- Experience with complex cardiac and vascular surgical cases
- Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
- Advanced cardiovascular surgical equipment
- Intraoperative monitoring systems
- Perfusion and cardiovascular support technology
- Standard operating room instrumentation
- Facility-specific orientation provided prior to assignment
- Unit-specific onboarding and competency validation
- 13-week assignment
- Day Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
- Full-time schedule
- Call Requirement:
- Five (5) weekday 16-hour call shifts every four-week schedule
- Two (2) full weekend call assignments (48 hours each) every four-week schedule
- Holiday call coverage may be required based on department scheduling needs
- No routine weekend shifts outside of scheduled call responsibilities
