Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Housekeeping Manager to oversee the cleanliness and maintenance of our facilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hospitality and housekeeping management, ensuring that our standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction are consistently met. This role is essential in creating a welcoming environment for both guests and staff.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily housekeeping operations, ensuring all areas are clean and well-maintained.
- Train, mentor, and manage housekeeping staff to uphold high standards of cleanliness and service.
- Develop cleaning schedules and assign tasks to ensure efficient workflow.
- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to ensure compliance with cleanliness standards.
- Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, placing orders as necessary to maintain adequate stock levels.
- Address guest inquiries or concerns regarding housekeeping services promptly and professionally.
- Implement safety protocols and maintain compliance with health regulations in all cleaning practices.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations within the hotel.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in housekeeping management for senior living communities.
- Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, floor care, industrial cleaning, and custodial practices.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with staff and guests.
- Previous hotel experience is preferred but not required; janitorial experience will also be considered an asset.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
