Cabinet Shop Laborer (Entry-Level / Temporary)

We are seeking a dependable Shop Laborer to support our custom cabinet manufacturing operation. This is an entry-level, short-term position focused on production support and material handling in a woodworking shop and on active jobsites.
Primary duties include sanding cabinet doors and drawer fronts to prepare them for finishing, as well as loading, unloading, and transporting cabinets during deliveries. This is a physically demanding position in an industrial shop environment and is well suited for individuals who enjoy hands-on work.
This position is intended as a temporary role and does not offer a defined path for advancement.
Responsibilities
- Sand cabinet doors and drawer fronts to production quality standards
- Prepare cabinet components for finishing
- Load, unload, and move cabinets and materials safely
- Carry cabinets and cabinet components from the delivery truck into the jobsite
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Follow shop safety procedures and supervisor instructions
- Assist with general shop labor as needed
Qualifications
- No experience required—training provided
- Ability to lift and carry 75+ pounds with assistance when necessary
- Ability to team-lift and carry 200+ pounds with assistance when needed
- Comfortable performing repetitive manual labor
- Able to work in a woodworking shop with dust, noise, and power equipment
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work as part of a crew
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
Physical Requirements
- Frequent standing, bending, lifting, pushing, and carrying throughout the workday
- Ability to move cabinets and materials into residential and commercial jobsites
- Comfortable working in an industrial manufacturing environment and outdoors during deliveries
