About Us
Significance Dental Specialists is a family-owned, multi-specialty group with four Las Vegas offices. Our specialists provide periodontal and dental implant care, endodontics, and orthodontics. We are not a corporate chain — the people you work with are the people who make decisions here.
Our Patient Care Coordinators are the first voice a patient hears and the last face they see. You set the tone for the entire visit. We take that seriously — and we hire people who do too.
What You'll Do
You own the front desk experience — scheduling, communication, and office flow from open to close.
- Answer every incoming call within 3 rings; handle inquiries, messages, and transfers with accuracy and warmth
- Schedule new and existing patients; maximize productivity by filling cancellations and reacting to same-day changes
- Confirm appointments, check patients in and out, and follow up on missed or broken appointments
- Prepare and distribute the daily schedule; facilitate the morning team meeting
- Distribute welcome, thank-you, and follow-up communications (notes, letters, calls, emails, school/appointment slips)
- Organize and maintain new patient charts; pull charts for the next day; conduct semi-annual file reviews and purges
- Scan, file, and route all incoming and outgoing mail — physical and electronic
- Keep the reception area clean, sanitized, and organized; report deficiencies to the Office Manager
- Verify insurance benefits and eligibility prior to patient appointments; communicate coverage details to the Financial Coordinator and clinical team
- Coordinate with the Financial and Treatment Coordinators on outstanding balances, pre-authorizations, and pre-treatment recall
- Request X-rays and clinical records from referring offices as directed
- Support the Office Manager with additional administrative tasks as assigned
What We're Looking For
Required:
- [1]+ year in a dental or medical front-desk / patient-facing scheduling role
- Confident, warm phone presence — you handle a multi-line phone system without rattling
- Scheduling experience: you understand how to protect the schedule, not just fill it
- Organized and detail-oriented — chart accuracy, message follow-through, and appointment confirmations don't fall through the cracks
- Familiarity with dental insurance verification — checking eligibility, benefits, and coverage details before the patient arrives
- High school diploma or GED
- Current CPR certification (or willingness to obtain within [30] days of hire)
Preferred:
- Experience in a specialty dental practice (periodontics, endodontics, or orthodontics)
- Familiarity with Softdent/Dentrix/Eagle Soft/Open Dental
You'll thrive here if:
- You manage your own time and workflow without being reminded — your day flows, so patients never wait on you
- You treat the schedule as a business asset, not a calendar
- You take pride in making someone feel genuinely welcomed, especially when they're nervous
Benefits
- [Dental care for you and your family]
