Position Summary
The Account Executive – Aerial Data Acquisition is responsible for driving business growth within the Architecture & Engineering (A&E) and Architecture & Construction (A&C) markets by identifying, developing, and managing strategic customer relationships. This position serves as the primary point of contact for prospective and existing clients, translating complex project requirements into customized aerial mapping and geospatial data acquisition solutions.
The ideal candidate combines consultative sales expertise with a strong understanding of aerial surveying, remote sensing technologies, and the operational requirements of engineering and construction organizations. Success in this role requires exceptional relationship-building skills, technical aptitude, and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal operations and production teams.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Business Development
Develop and execute strategic sales plans to expand Revolution Geosystems' presence within the Architecture & Engineering and Construction markets.
Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities with regional and national engineering firms, construction companies, government agencies, and infrastructure organizations.
Develop and maintain long-term relationships with project managers, engineers, GIS professionals, survey managers, and executive decision-makers.
Manage all stages of the sales cycle, from prospecting through contract execution and project handoff.
Client Consultation & Technical Sales
Conduct consultative discussions to understand client objectives, project specifications, schedules, and deliverables.
Interpret Areas of Interest (AOIs), flight requirements, imagery specifications, LiDAR point density requirements, and Ground Sample Distance (GSD) requirements.
Recommend appropriate airborne sensors, acquisition methodologies, and deliverables based on project requirements.
Serve as the primary technical resource during the pre-sales process.
Proposal Development
Develop accurate, competitive proposals, quotations, and Statements of Work.
Coordinate with Flight Operations, Sensor Operations, Production, and Project Management teams to determine project feasibility, pricing, scheduling, and resource requirements.
Present technical solutions and proposals to customers while effectively communicating project scope and value.
Market Development
Monitor industry trends, emerging technologies, FAA regulations, and competitive activity.
Identify opportunities to introduce new services and technologies to existing and prospective customers.
Represent Revolution Geosystems at industry conferences, trade shows, networking events, and customer meetings.
Customer Relationship Management
Maintain accurate customer information and sales activities within the company's CRM system.
Provide exceptional customer service throughout the sales and project lifecycle.
Ensure smooth communication between clients and internal operational teams.
Support contract negotiations and customer satisfaction initiatives.
Required Qualifications
Education
Bachelor's degree in GIS, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, Geography, Remote Sensing, Business, or a related technical discipline.
Experience
Minimum of 3–5 years of successful business-to-business sales experience within the geospatial, aerial surveying, remote sensing, engineering, or related industries.
Experience selling technical services and managing complex sales opportunities.
Demonstrated understanding of the Architecture & Engineering and Construction industries.
Technical Knowledge
Working knowledge of aerial imagery, LiDAR, remote sensing, and airborne data acquisition technologies.
Understanding of geospatial data collection methodologies and project workflows.
Familiarity with FAA regulations affecting aerial survey operations.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience selling geospatial or remote sensing services.
Existing relationships within the A&E, Construction, or Infrastructure industries.
Experience working with government or public-sector clients.
Familiarity with GIS software and geospatial data products.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Technical Skills
Understanding of Ground Sample Distance (GSD), LiDAR point density, overlap requirements, and airborne sensor capabilities.
Ability to analyze KML/KMZ files, shapefiles, and Areas of Interest.
Working knowledge of Esri ArcGIS, Autodesk Civil 3D, Bentley MicroStation, and related geospatial software.
Proficiency with Google Suites and CRM systems.

Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range: $80k-$100k annually, depending on qualifications and experience
